Biography
Sylvain Coulaud is a photographer and graphic designer who lives and works in Brittany, France. He is a specialist of black and white photography, thanks to his long many years of experience in agencies and photo studios. Born in 1959 in Paris, he created several high-tech companies.
Cofounder of the agency Metropolitan Studio in 1996, he took part in the production of communication campaigns (APEC, Banque Populaire, CIRAD, Distrilogie, Groupama, HP, IBM, MSA, TAG Heuer…). He is a founding member of FranceFineArt — Association of Franco-Chinese cultural exchange.
Sylvain Coulaud is in charge of La Boutig since 2014, a place that represents local artists, with a gallery space for photography and painting.
His last photographic series, “Between Earth & Sea”, evokes his walks on the Brittany coast. He uses long exposure to create images that invite to contemplation, daydreaming and exploration, of Asian inspiration.
Sylvain Coulaud is also the founder of LaGalerie.bzh.
