Biography

Cui Jingzhe was born in 1980, Manchu. He graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts where he majored in traditional Chinese painting. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a board member of the China Hue Art Association, executive vice president of the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and a teacher. Cui Jingzhe's art shows a distinctive and innovative aspect of traditional Chinese painting, pleasant painting and color painting. The concept of his works is deep and generous. He changed traditional ideas and techniques by merging Chinese and Western arts, with a poetic description, showing people the beauty of purity and elegance. Works of the “Chinese Red Series”, such as “Red Makeup”, “Bride” and “Hsiuku”, are characteristic works of his art. In these works, the main colors of the outfits are red. National symbols such as the peony, butterfly and shuang xi all serve to beautify the alternating inner world of the characters.
