Biography
Joy and life in paintings that reflect a certain energy and taste for colors. Léa Dominot paints "mutant" compositions, mixing acrylic, pastels, inks, collages, etc. Stories of bathers, musicians, dancers and others everyday scenes. She stylizes human forms, plays with disproportions, asymetric postures and abundant of details. The brush juggles with flat colors, checkerboards on the floor, baroque patterns, stripes and clothing fabrics. Our eye surges from a surface to another. Her writing makes our neighborhoods beautiful, injects optimism and freshness in it.
While she was still student in the School of Fine Arts of Nantes (France), Léa Dominot created in 1990 a ready-to-wear line. She opens her first boutique and develops multiple collections : accessories, jewelry, decorative objects, tableware… However, painting remains her main interest and her paintings are always presented with her other creations. In 2008, she decides to dedicate herself exclusively to painting.
