Biography
Graduated with congratulations from the jury of the Ecole Supérieure d'Art d'Aix en Provence in 2017, Sebastien Arrighi has followed several international training courses and has notably worked alongside Gilbert Fastenaekens. He practices photography, with a particular approach to the landscape, consisting of chamber work, or an exploration of a virtual landscape with his own tools.
Following a long-term project on the mythical imagination of the American Far West within a virtual role-playing game, in 2016 he began researching the Grand Site de la Sainte-Victoire, dedicated to on the one hand to the almost daily roaming with his subject, and on the other hand to the investigation of a temporarily emptied reservoir, revealing the scars of a human kingdom.
He deliberately places his approach to photography under the influence of Robert Adams, Gilbert Fastenaekens or Hamish Fulton with whom he shares an interest in the landscape, a great revealer of unexpected appearances and fictions.
