Biography
Chemical engineer, Cambrésien of origins, Julien CROUHY works oil painting on large format paintings subtly combining figurative and abstraction.
His technique is based on the projection, casting and blowing of liquid paint of varying heights, on a canvas more or less inclined and with various instruments.
The physico-chemical properties of gasoline allow nebulous or bursting effects which appear randomly according to the projection or flow velocities.
His style is characterized by an overall movement reinforced by the use of bright colors, in the spirit of street art and the "dripping" technique of Jackson Pollock from which he draws his inspiration.
Its main themes are abstract representations of mathematical objects, physical or chemical phenomena, the moving human body, music and portraits, famous or anonymous.
