Biography
Born in 1955, lives and works in Paris.
From his use of adhesive tape, applied to big structures, using the golden section, called " Corps de lumière ", more than 25 years ago , to his merger, since 2002, with the photography as a way of synthesis of his researches, the one who evokes himself his wish to bring a positive, bright and jubilant vision of the world presents us a rich and complete work, developing a major reflection on the shadow and the light.
Painter, photographer, drawer, sculptor and more recently video director, Hervy-Vaillant travels through those various registers for several years now.
Having appropriated the world by scotch-taping it, painting it in green, the new stage of Hervy-Vaillant is now to photograph all the aspects of the universe which surrounds him: streets, cars, trees, flowers, swimmers, portraits...
Favoring the editions on large formats to sublimate details and allow the contemplation, Hervy-Vaillant seems to question us: is the artwork photo or painting ?
