Biography
After having taken the courses of the Superior School of Graphic Arts in Penninghen, directed toward the graphics and photography, Bruno Mallart turned in 1986 towards illustration. In 1989, he integrated the group France-Illustration and carried out during the years of illustrations in a style rather realistic, watercolour and the pen.
At the end of 1990, Bruno Mallart will develop a writing very different: painting, watercolour, pencil and especially collages on various media such as boxes, planks and objects, is confusing to give life to a zany universe or peppers handwheels intersect characters inkwells... The discovery of ""Photoshop"" will offer him then many tracks of figuration and implementation of its images...
His work is mainly published in magazines (Telerama, International Mail, The World, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal... ).
Since little, Bruno Mallart realized of prints, pigment tests edited by the Workshop Franck Bordas (who achieved between other prints of Ernest Pinion Ernest, Gerard Garouste as well as some or Enki Bilal... ) which are presented under diasec.
This "patchwork" of drawing, painting, collage takes on a whole other dimension. His work is no longer illustration within a magazine but a work full part edited to a small number of copies. Large formats are gaining strength and in mystery, the diasec allowing to give a very nice depth to the colors.
