Biography
Mariam Shakarashvili is a Georgian artist born in 1993 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. She received a master's degree from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, painting section in 2017. She worked as an art director and curator at the International Plein Air in Dresden for the exhibition Kultur Synchron in 2022.
She was also in the same year curator at the Eristavi Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium, founder and curator at the Adamia Gallery, as a partner organization for "Ars Longa Kunst und Kulturmanagement in Dresden, Germany and finally founder of the Aleksander-Aleko Adamia Dresden International Art Residency in Dresden, Germany.
She regularly teaches painting and drawing at the Tbilisi Art School. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Georgia and abroad including the Venice Biennale for the exhibition Time, Space, Existence at Palazzo Mora in Venice, Italy in 2017.
