Born February 7, 1955, Jacek Maslankiewicz is a Polish painter. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Warsaw in 1979. He comes from a family of artists, his father was a painter, they introduced him to the artistic world.
His oil paintings reveal his admiration for Polish landscapes. The artist sacralizes the landscapes by following the line of German romantic painters of the nineteenth century, his work is characterized by their particularly shimmering colors. His work is a sort of combination of William Turner's and Caspar David Friedrich's style, his pieces are sublime. The infinite and shaded horizon requires a contemplative appreciation.
