Rosemary Achata

Rosemary Achata is a versatile emerging artist who builds on her strengths day by day. Honest to her work, she is a representative of a Bolivian contemporary figurative current with a focus on the representation of social issues and cultural aspects of the country.

Achata´s approach within this current is unique, because of her profound existential reflections, which originate in her life experiences between two contrasting landscapes, the Andean altiplano and the big city, both with their respective almost surreal social imaginaries; and come out because of her immense sensibility, evidenced by her traces and use of color. Her work oscillates between drawing and painting, always in the lookout for the appropriate plastic language to represent sensations, to tell us about her introspections.
