Lluís Barba

Luis Barba was born in Barcelona where he did his training in art and design at Escola Massana and specialized in advertising design at the Autonoma University and Llotja Design School.

He has a very satirical and humoristic style. He uses portraits of renowned artists and combines them with modern elements. This combination between symbols and historic/current icons like Lady Gaga or works of Pieter Brueghel can be seen as a strong criticism against modern society and the world of art.

His work has been exhibited in several international galleries and art fairs and they are also part of several private and public collections such as Fondation Lluis Carulla, Arothèque d'Art Anekdota in Paris, Musée d'art contemporain Wilfredo Lam and many others.
