Biography

Maurice Breschand (1932-2007) is an engraving artist born in France. He studied at Decorative Arts in Paris. His wife is the Master Engraver Thérèse Boucraut, they both study at Decorative Arts in Paris.

Thérèse Boucraut writes that Poulbot's press was offered to the School of Decorative Arts and Léon Moissinac had made it available to the students of the Atelier Gromaire. This is how Maurice Breschand engraved for his diploma a series of five etchings to illustrate "La Chute" by Albert Camus. He engraved a series of etchings, in 1968, the "Men who walk" with a burin or etching, as well as engravings on wood or copper.
