Description
This striking and vibrant artwork immediately captures the attention with its bold use of colour and dynamic composition. Dominating the canvas, stylised palm trees contrast vividly against a deep blue background. Each canvas becomes the site of an attempt to fix that fragile moment situated between appearance and disappearance.
In his compositions, organic forms, fragmented silhouettes, or motifs such as fish and bones emerge, carried by an aesthetic close to a tribal imaginary. Sp works mainly with acrylic paint, favoring the use of a palette knife to give substance to his visions. He occasionally punctuates his works with more precise lines created with Posca and Graph'it markers, creating a dialogue between raw material and the definition of the sign.
