Pierre-Antoine Ménard

Born in Versailles in 1986, Pierre-Antoine immersed himself in art at a very young age, influenced by the intensity of the works of Nicolas de Staël.

His journey led him towards graffiti and hip-hop culture, which he explored in Barcelona alongside the artist Chanoir, before joining the 1980 collective, a true creative laboratory of frescoes and performances.

His rich and expressive paintings reveal a mixture of influences, combining urban frescoes, hieroglyphics, neoclassicism and contemporary advertising imagery.

Through a technique of superposition, scraping and revealing material, he composes vibrant surfaces, similar to walls marked by time and loaded with history.
