Lucie Kerouedan

France • 1990

Lucie Kerouedan, born in 1990, is a French figurative painter.

Biography

Lucie Kerouedan is an artist whose work is characterized by a simultaneously poetic and raw approach to subjects such as identity, nature, and human relationships. Her paintings generally depict human and/or animal figures in liminal spaces (interiors, enclosed spaces, or indeterminate floating spaces).

Exploring through her works subjects such as intimacy, violence, and vulnerability, the links between women and men, human beings and animals, she paints figurative canvases in oil whose tender colors contrast with the inquisitive looks and often self-assured bodies of her characters.

Autobiographical elements, literary references and social issues blend in Kerouedan's painting into a strange atmosphere of contemporary fairy tale.

In 2025, she participated in the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in London, the Estivales de Sceaux, two group exhibitions on Paris (Da Morire and Salo), as well as the Romanesque biennial.

She lives and works between Rennes and Paris.
