Luis Gonzalvez-Lozano

In his sculptural work, abstract language is used as a means of expression which translates the equivalence between thought and its materiality. Luis Gonzálvez Lozano lucidly presents the various relationships that create a system of visual and perceptual integration. It is a creative process which not only reproduces a model but dictates its own and personal order to its creation.

Luis strives to offer sensitive interpretations of nature and its dynamics between appearance, presence, dimensionality and absence. The sculpture opens up the space and uses it to create a property, altering what was there, thus creating a different entity. His works are mainly made in ceramic, with high temperature firing, and also in bronze.
