Working on used fabrics, sometimes fabrics from a lifetime, which are neglected to the point of being thrown away, is obvious to me. What some see as old rags are for me real intimate secrets that have been forgotten and become the brushes of my textile writing. My scissors cut them, my needle embroiders them, my thread brings them together to breathe new life into them like a duty of memory that would like to draw attention to the richness of our heritage that we are eroding a little more each day.
