“To me the works express the little ironies that exist between decision and endeavor, where we have trouble differentiating between what we want and what we are told we should want.

The Luckier refers to a kind of ideal self : One who does not doubt opportunity, indulge in self sabotage, or allow the absurdity of an ideal to ruin the pursuit of it.“

[The Luckier] is a visual exploration of the liminal space we often retreat into when in a state of indecision

Drawing upon the fear and uncertainty that we deal with in the face of success, feelings of displacement are emphasized by creating characters using Chinese fortune symbology which either try to help or end up proving to be the problem in the first place.
