Abstract Glow
Brussels From January 10, 2023 to February 9, 2023
Stainless steel, oil, acrylic, glass are declined, assembled, decomposed, recomposed.
Under the prism of light, form, colour and reflections appear.
A game of abstraction and light that intrigues and pleases the eye.
DIAMOND
Le Diamantaire is distinguished by the choice of mirror as a material to decorate the walls. The first walls dotted with these street jewels were those of the French capital. Since 2015, the diamond symbol has been represented in volume and from different angles. The artist explores the infinity and depth of the diamond. The perspectives are multiplied, and offer a plurality of reflections and points of view.
TANC
By concentrating his work on line and colour, he renews classical pictorial research by confronting it with the primary vivacity of street art: preponderance of action, perfection of gesture, acceptance of randomness and expression of a strong singularity. Above all, his works are striking for their intensity, their musicality and the vibration of the lights and materials. Tanc's action, energy and emotion touch the viewer in the most sensual, intimate and immediate way.
THE OUTSIDER
Yann L'Outsider explores two dimensions in particular: typographic abstraction through formal compositions around the letter - an aesthetic nourished by the DNA of the graffiti artist - and metaphysical abstraction inspired by the observation of cosmic movements and the dynamics of the elements, the kinetics of which he seeks to retranscribe in the lines and the dizzying play of light and shade.
On canvas, the artist endeavours to reconcile in the same movement the intranquil spontaneity of urban art and the more introspective course of studio research. This duality is the springboard of a creative tension that unfolds a singular, fascinating work, with unfathomable and mysterious effects.
JC THOREZ
Born in the North of France, the artist remains attached to the textile heritage of his region; this is how, under his hands, stainless steel becomes fabric from 2012, to give shape to sculptures. Thorez shapes, models, orients and sculpts his pieces until he obtains harmonious forms.
The result is unique pieces, a work of strength bordering on the tearing of the sheet metal, with goldsmith's finishes, but also poetic sculptures with multiple readings, sublimated by the lively reflections that they maintain with the light and their environment.
