Summer is coming.
In our society where the place of the sensitive is reduced, summer is the ideal season to take the time to sleep, eat, meet friends, family, and live. It echoes the image of the couple of workers resting on a haystack by Vincent Van Gogh.
The body, regarding to philosophical conceptions and scientific discourses, will then be perceived and used from a diversity of points of view: Screen or mirror, inscription of desire or armor preventing it from expressing itself; original means of relation or expression. Michel Bernard (1976) identified the double problematic of the body: the existential dimension which integrates an instinctual and libidinal dynamic, and the cultural dimension shaped by society but also a symbol of the society.
