Art Voyage, the Swiss gallery, is proud to announce its curated exhibition as part of Art Genève. Titled "Ancestral Call," this exhibition brings together the works of six talented female artists. Curator Anastasia Vasilyeva has skillfully combined painting, objects, and performance elements within a single space.
Among the honored participants are three remarkable female artists from Ukraine: Dasha Pogodina (b.1992), Tetiana Pchelnykova (b.1970), and Olha Vlasova (b.1994). Through their paintings, these artists beautifully depict femininity and explore the profound connection to their roots. Each artwork reflects the search for a piece of their ancestors within themselves.
Using natural materials and engaging with animals, these women find solace and support in their ancestral heritage. Particularly during times of war and displacement, this inner exploration becomes a source of strength and salvation.
To further enhance the exhibition, Anastasia Vasilyeva, both artist and curator (b. 1982), has created objects made from natural materials. These objects hold symbolic sacred significance and are united to form a single ancestral altar.
The exhibition is hosted in the newly established exhibition space of Art Voyage Gallery in Zofingen.
