Presentation

Discover the unique ink and collage drawings on paper and the metal, ceramic, and wood sculptures by French artist Haude Bernabé on the occasion of her exhibition "Odyssée" at the Galerie Claire Corcia, Paris.
In "The Forest and the Gods," Lydia Cabrera explains: "It is through trees, plants, leaves, and seeds that men trade with spirits and gods. Vegetation is the locus where the exchange of forces and signs between two worlds takes place."
It is these connections, this spirituality between man and nature, that Haude Bernabé has sought to convey in her work.
« This Odyssey is not only about humans: it also connects to that of plants themselves, which have always migrated, traveled, and populated new territories. Each leaf that I take an imprint of then becomes a trace of this universal journey, a testimony to the mobility and resilience of living beings. From the French countryside to the forests of Africa and Asia, this artistic path is a quest for the sacred bonds that unite humans and nature since the beginnings, bonds that we must to rediscover or relearn at all costs: to inhabit the earth in the best way possible," writes Haude Bernabé in 2025.
