Through Inner Geometries, Aurore Michel-Grégoire invites the viewer into a world where geometric rigor becomes the language of an intimate, spiritual, and profoundly human exploration.

Born in Marseille in 1989, the artist has developed an immediately recognizable body of work, characterized by refined compositions, architectural forms, and an almost scientific construction of pictorial space.

Behind this apparent rigor unfolds a sensitive and sometimes mystical dimension, nourished by a reflection on perception, duality, the sacred, and the inner quest.

Each canvas acts as a space for mental projection: a place where form becomes emotion, where the line reveals a constant tension between control and surrender, structure and reverie. The works invite us to slow down, to contemplate, to feel.

The exhibition brings together several major series, including Shadow and Light, veritable visual meditations on the duality of existence. In The Lamppost Man, a chair is transformed into a human silhouette, becoming both a spine and a source of light, embodying the fragile boundary between presence and absence.

With The Projection of Illusion, the artist draws on the imagery of cinema and architecture to question our relationship to reality, memory, and transformation.

Aurore Michel-Grégoire also engages in a dialogue with art history. The Angelus, inspired by Jean-François Millet, and The Baroness, a contemporary reminiscence of Fragonard, bear witness to this desire to create a dialogue between heritage and modernity, spirituality and a critical perspective on our era.
At the heart of the exhibition, The Pilgrim fully embodies the artist's philosophy. Inspired by constructivism and modernist architecture, this geometric figure in motion becomes the symbol of an inner journey, of a constant transformation between the material and the spiritual. The chromatic dialogue between blue and orange evokes the tension between Earth and Sky, between grounding and elevation.

For Aurore Michel-Grégoire, painting is much more than a means of visual expression. It is a space for personal exploration and sharing, where art becomes a driving force for evolution, both individual and collective. Her work invites everyone to question their own perceptions, to accept the plurality of viewpoints, and to find renewed strength in the expression of sensitivity.
