As part of Japan Month in Reims, the Feng Shang Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition "Art Under the Sign of Japan," an invitation to explore the contemporary resonances of Japanese aesthetics through the eyes of two artists.
Gabriella Moussette unveils a series of works inspired by the famous Great Wave, revisiting this iconic motif with a contemporary sensibility. Through variations in texture, color, and movement, the artist appropriates this universal image to reveal new interpretations, between natural power and visual poetry.
In a similar vein, Nicolas Dijoux offers work rooted in the tradition of Japanese prints. Through his meticulous approach and attention to composition, he reinterprets the codes of this ancestral art, blending delicate lines, balanced forms, and subtle storytelling.
This exhibition highlights a dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation, where Japanese influence becomes a source of inspiration and reinvention. “Art under the sign of Japan” thus celebrates the richness of a shared imagination, between respect for traditions and artistic freedom.
