Lovers of art, history, and timeless beauty, rejoice! The Feng Shang Gallery is privileged to present an exceptional exhibition: porcelain treasures from Direct from the legendary Housen Museum in Jingdezhen.
Jingdezhen: Much more than a city, a living legend.
For over 1,700 years, this Jiangxi city has been the undisputed porcelain capital of China, if not the world. Nicknamed "the City of Heavenly Furnaces" (昌南, Chang Nan), its name is synonymous with perfection, innovation, and expertise passed down from generation to generation. It was here that the "white gold" (kaolin) was crafted into masterpieces that conquered imperial courts and enchanted the globe, making Chinese porcelain an object of unparalleled fascination and commerce.
The Exhibition: A Journey to the Housen Museum
The Housen Museum (厚森博物馆), the precious guardian of this heritage in Jingdezhen, opens its reserves for us. This unique exhibition at the Feng Shang Gallery invites you to discover:
