Dario Berterreche

I am interested in thinking of my practice as an act of faith, of absolute surrender, towards an infinite future. Starting from the unexpected and from the movement that all improvisation proposes, the works are generated giving rise to what chance determines. Much of my inspiration comes from the natural environment that surrounds me, thus manifesting itself during the creative process from various organic materials. In the dynamics of my search I pursue the plastic gesture as a gateway to endless texture possibilities, where error is presented not as a threat, but as a free path to different atmospheres. These try to capture sensations such as: …the murmur of the sea, the hidden and revealed of a surface, the perfume of the algae, the mist, the calm that the horizon proposes in the landscape, the forest that climbs the dunes, the fragility of dry branches... As representations of nature, from its presences of life as well as its absences.
