Biography
Rebeca Mendoza (B.1967) currently lives and works in Buenos Aires. At the age of 15, she entered the Regina Paccis School of Fine Arts, and in 1992, she was granted her degree of Professor of Painting after completing her formal academic education in the Prilidiano Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts.
Since finishing her formal training as a painter, Mendoza has continued her practice while establishing herself as a teacher within her own studio in Buenos Aires. In 1990, Mendoza opened her own studio in Buenos Aires. In 1994, Mendoza worked in New York, opening her own studio on the Lower East Side before returning to Buenos Aires in 2000.
Mendoza has been widely exhibited across the United States and Argentina, and her work is part of private collections in Argentina, Canada, United States, Switzerland, France, Spain, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Chile.
