Biography

Héctor Ragni (Buenos Aires, November 29, 1897-Montevideo, July 7, 1952).

Argentine painter and engraver, who had an outstanding performance in the Uruguayan, Catalan and Argentine artistic field.

In 1934 he linked up with the teacher Joaquín Torres García with whom he shared a previous friendship and whom he accompanied in the creation of the Association of Constructive Art and the School of the South between 1935 and 1942, to later actively participate in the founding of the Torres García Workshop. Thus, he became a promoter of the teacher's theories for the rest of his life, collaborating in popular school publications such as ËœCírculo y CuadradoËœ and ËœRemovedorËœ, being the latter  the official publication of the Taller.
