Biography
Tigran Palyan is an Armenian sculptor and digital creator born in 1964 in Yerevan, Armenia. Over the course of six decades of life and a long dedicated creative practice, he has developed a distinctly personal sculptural language — one that speaks in bronze, metal, and wood with a voice that is unmistakably his own.
His works are predominantly cast and forged in bronze and mixed metals, often mounted on dark wooden panels that serve as both frame and stage. The sculptures themselves inhabit a compelling visual world — part ancient, part mythological, part surreal — populated by elongated human figures, animal forms, ceremonial objects, and totemic presences that seem to carry the weight of memory and archetype.
Tigran works across both freestanding sculpture and relief-based compositions, combining raw metalwork with refined artistic instinct. His pieces carry echoes of ancient Armenian and pre-Christian iconography, filtered through a thoroughly contemporary and deeply personal aesthetic sensibility.
Based in Yerevan, he continues to create and exhibit his work, building a body of sculpture that bridges the mythological past and the searching present.
