Piri's work has been featured in Frankie, Yen, Empty, Semi Permanent, Curvy and many other publications. The themes of her drawings focus on correspondence, wonder at flora and fauna, migration, and beauty. They are created with colour pencil, and acrylics. Lilly Piri currently lives and works on the Gold Coast. Artist statement; 'The themes that inspire my drawings are often interests that I formed in my childhood. Letter writing, philately, entomology, travel, and learning, continue to be important influences. Another source of inspiration is the four years that I spent in Germany. The realities of a new culture, migration, homesickness, and of being an immigrant, have all helped to form new narratives in my work.'
