Andy Allemeersch is a Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1934. (°Roeselare 1934). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and became regent of plastic arts at the State Teacher Training College in Ghent under the direction of Octaaf Landuyt. He was a teacher of plastic education at the public high school of Torhout and from 1980 to 1990 at the public college of Ostend. He has more than a hundred solo exhibitions in Belgium, but also in the Netherlands, France and Switzerland.In 1976, he won a bronze medal at the Europaprijs in the city of Ostend. Andy Allemeersch hasn't exhibited since 1990.
