Patricia Coenraets

Belgium • 1960

Art that touches the soul. "One perceives in your artistic approach a jubilation, a freedom unconstrained by any preconception, any sign of imprisonment." Louis Richardeau

Biography

Born in Liège, Belgium in September 1960, Patricia Coenraets passionately developed her artistic palette during her many expatriations. Her travels, particularly in Eastern Europe and Asia, combined with frequent returns to Belgium, allowed her to broaden her inspiration and attract a Belgian and international audience attentive to her work.

Patricia, a qualified teacher of Visual Arts and a professor of drawing and sculpture, also founded and ran the Manypré Workshops.

Patricia is an artist whose radiant personality illuminates her work with contagious optimism and inspiring charm.

Her artistic journey, both vibrant and innovative, reflects this joy of living, inviting everyone to see the world through a prism of sensuality and emotions, which are found in her paintings, sketches and bronzes, and which are all tributes to femininity.

Having recently returned from her time living abroad in Bulgaria and the Campine region, where Patricia dedicated herself fully to her painting and a new approach to sculpture based on the theme of the "Shell Woman," the artist returns with a collection of new works. Some of his creations have already been exhibited in magnificent gardens, and have travelled through numerous exhibitions in the United States and Europe.

His work is recognized by several renowned galleries and foundations, and has been awarded prizes in Prague (2025), Brussels (2016) and Antwerp (1984).

Her Sculptures… feminine plural.

Through unique bronzes and sketches, made of curves and body parts sublimated with great delicacy, Patricia pays homage to the eternal woman.

In her new series "Seashell Woman", the embrace of curves is lost in the shadow of metal, as if polished by the vertigo of the senses in the beauty and generosity of a body offered.

His painting… The Great Thrill

Patricia's painting, made up of the interplay of colors and impressions, is directly inspired by the marshy landscapes of her family's Brabant, her many travels, and the omnipresent nature.
