Vidal Cussi Tiñini

Notable artist from La Paz, graduated from the Hernando Siles Fine Arts Academy with a specialty in painting. He has been a regular presence in the Bolivian plastic arts scene since 2009, participating of collective and individual shows at national salons, museums, cultural centers, and art galleries. He has also exhibited his paintings internationally. His work is focused on the representation of the Andean landscapes and their colors, often exploring textures and the deconstruction of forms in puzzle like pieces. His forms often imitate assemblies or layered sculptures. Of note is his series of paintings focused on the “Illimani"and “Illampu" mountains, both of significance for the mythology of the peoples of the high Bolivian Andes. Cussi has received the first place in all major national contests and awards for his painting, more than once in some cases. He has, through his unique style, established himself as a very active and distinctive figure in Bolivian and Latin American painting who will certainly continue to delight us.
