BIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCE

Christo Christov is born on May 22, 1963 in the city of Varna. In 1982 graduated from the Specialized School for Artistic Stone Processing in the village of Kunino. 1994 graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, majoring in sculpture in the class of Prof. Dimitar Boykov. Since 1994 is a member of UBA.

Since 1995 exhibits his works at the Georg Gallery on the island of Sult, Germany.

Completed projects:

Since 1997 until 2020 inclusive, he annually produces the annual Sports Icarus Awards of the Bulgarian Sports Foundation.

2019 - Makes a monumental sculpture, which is placed in the "Open Air Museum" on the square "Atlantic Solidarity" near the City Art Gallery in Varna.

Since 2010 - regularly makes sculptures for the International Wrestling Federation FILA.

Since 2008 - regularly prepares the awards of the basketball club "Spartak" - Moscow.

2006 - His sculpture "Higher than the sun" became a symbol of the resort "Golden Sands".

Since 2006 - regularly produces award plastics for the European Basketball Federation FIBA.

2003 - Makes a monumental sculpture, which is placed in the yard of the National Music School "Lyubomir Pipkov", Sofia.

2003 - Participation in the International Symposium - Stone, Wunsidel (Germany)

2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 - Participation in the Symposium on Sculpture "Sea of Shapes", resort complex "Golden Sands"

2002 - Participation in a joint exhibition in the building of the European Parliament in Brussels (office of the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Mr. Günther Verheugen)

2020 - Award of the Jury in the Biennial of Small Forms - Pleven '2020.

2015 - Award of the First Independent Awards for Culture - Varna

2010 - First prize in the Allians Bulgaria Regional Sculpture Awards competition

2010 - First prize Biennial of Small Forms - Pleven 2010.

2006 - First prize in the Symposium on Sculpture "Sea of Shapes", Golden Sands Resort.

2000 - Golden Pen Award for contribution to Bulgarian culture
