Biography
Santiago, Chile is the place of Antonio Cavagnaro's birth. He travelled to Spain for additional studies after his exhibition at the National Congress and in a few other galleries, including Ana Maria Matthei and Artespacio. He received a postgraduate fellowship from the Art and Contemporary Authors (Arauco) in Chinchón, Spain, in 2006.
He studied there until the end of 2008, taking lectures from realistic painter Guillermo Muoz Vera. He visited the United States in 2010 and travelled to LNVA (LatinNetwork for the Visual Arts) in Connecticut, where he exhibited. As a result, his name was added to the roster of painters at Expressiones Cultural Gallery.
Later, he was chosen to take part in the flag of American artists, showcasing their creations at the Beijing Contemporary Art Fair China in 2013. He displayed his work at the Expressiones Cultural Gallery in Connecticut for the second half of this year (Solo Exhibition).
Get a scholarship as well, just like an artist in residence. After that, he went back to Chile and continued to create art there. He has been based in Madrid since 2021.
