Biography

Having a diploma from the Shangai Theatre Academy, Tao Hongjing continued his studies at the School of Fine Arts of Grenoble. Tao Hongiing grew up during the time of the "Four Modernizations" in China, (Reforms designed to make the country a big economic power during the 21st Century). The artist did not lack inspiration since he usurped a false identity during several years. He sold his work in the art market in China as a Chinese artist but he came from Nantes and his name was Alexander Ouairy.

The governmental and political changes of his false native country are reflected in his work.

Tao Hongjing exhibited his work all around the world; in Shanghai (At the Artspace Gallery in 1918), at the Red Sutdio (Hong Kong, China), at the Shun Gallery (Shanghai, China), at the Red Gate Gallery (Pekin, China), at the Art Gallery (Prague, Czech Republic) and in OUI (Grenoble, France).
The artist died while looking at his pieces(April 4, 2015)
