Marinelle Bahr

Marinelle is a contemporary artist based in Hurghada, Egypt, whose practice is deeply connected to the sea and the distinctive landscapes of the Red Sea coast. Born in Egypt, Marinelle draws inspiration from the turquoise waters, shifting light, sandy shores and distant horizons surrounding her home. Her paintings explore the quiet emotional presence of the sea - its movement, reflections, changing colours and moments of stillness. Working primarily with painting, she creates atmospheric seascapes that combine careful observation of nature with a personal, expressive approach to light and colour. Her works invite the viewer to pause, breathe and experience the sense of freedom and calm found beside the water. Living and working in Hurghada, Marinelle continues to develop a body of work inspired by the Red Sea and its ever-changing character.
