Presentation

Catherine Dumas Perrot currently lives in Rognac, between Aix en Provence and Marseille.
A late start to painting that she could explain to you with a touch of irony by recounting an episode in her life as a 4-year-old child when, having observed her father very carefully repainting the walls of the living room in white, she had wanted to do the same by putting color and joy ..... in total abstraction! This was followed by a masterful smack administered by his mother and perhaps a vocation stopped, or at least put to sleep.
It will rebound in adulthood.
For his parents, a training in the arts was not an option. It was not serious! She therefore heads after the baccalaureate to a business school, specializing in marketing....
At the age of 25, she decides to take painting lessons and in her spare time composes paintings in the figurative style, in oil. And a busy life organized around his family (4 daughters), his professional life (bank) and associative life (Red Cross) leaves little time for painting.
In 2008, an expatriation to the United States will allow him to take up the brushes again. She joins a group of painters in Washington, learns and perfects herself in other techniques (material work, collage, acrylic fluids, color work .....), moves towards abstract painting and acrylic. Many trips and especially meetings with other artists have enriched his personality as a painter.
Her creativity is a whirlwind of emotions that overwhelms her. These are the colors that jostle and impose themselves above all when she finds herself in front of her white canvas. It's a coming and going, a communication that is established between her and her creation....
Moreover, if you visit her, you will be surprised to see that her paintings in progress follow her in the different rooms where she circulates. She is completely immersed in it.
Catherine likes to paint outside, in the pine forest that surrounds her, so that this light illuminates her compositions full of color and life.
It's more than a momentum, it's a need that allows him to enter another world where he finds part of his current reality, of his emotions that inhabit him, allied to his imagination.
And his painting takes shape....
It is an exchange between his hands, his head and his heart....
Do not ask her to explain the vision of her work to you. It's his world. She invites you to enter....
One thing is certain. She finds in her artistic creation an intoxicating and addictive happiness that always makes her want to go further.
