Aurélien RUPP, painter, France
Aurélien Rupp is an engineer by training and a self-taught artist. He decided one day to shatter the too narrow framework of everyday life, to free himself from programmed systems, codes and to let his imagination and creative instinct express itself through painting.
Passionate about Street Art, he adapted the techniques to the canvas by the use of aerosol cans and stencil from his own photos and drawings. Anxious to keep a unique character to his works, he never reuses his stencils.
Then, he turns to abstraction, his musical practice predisposing him to an instinctive search for rhythm without abandoning the spray can used for each of his creations.
He uses various everyday materials or objects within his reach (paper, cardboard, rubber bands, paper clips, adhesive, etc.)
In his painting, colors, movement and vibrations come together to give some of his paintings a cosmic dimension.
