“Painter of the human soul, Remy Disch shapes his work according to the energies he feels.

Self-taught, his career is that of a seesaw leading him from the world of the media to a gentle and serene melancholy. From there, he listens in silence to the movements and murmurs of the beings who unfold and live around him to lead him to an elsewhere full of peace and mystery.

His sketches, studies and portraits probably lived there before coming to him.

The 20 years of collaboration as director and artistic director with Canal+, France Télévisions and the biggest media groups, while he was already painting, allowed him to strengthen his belief in others and his ability to sublimate the emotions of a meet.

Spotted then listed at Drouot for 18 years now, Remy Disch explores today with languor, the aesthetic potentialities of a balance calling the din of everyday life to silence for a moment in a calm and soothing disenchantment.

The tilted faces that inhabit his work, reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance with Lynchian and Modiglianesque affinities, shelter what he becomes and the projections of each; the hope of a return, of a realization, of a life to come. Each story is found there, each inspiration, each instant, before becoming, in a whisper, the allegorical figures of a resonance between all that has lived and what is alive. With a stroke that brings them back to the very essence of who they are, Remy Disch transforms them into timeless and meditative entities that contemplate the artist and what composes him. The fibers of his webs merge with those of his skin in an indistinct body and spirit; elevation to a new incarnation. »
