Biography

Passionate about painting and drawing from an early age, I discovered many techniques as a teenager such as pastel, watercolor, gouache, as well as oil painting which I particularly liked. I started practicing by reproducing works by well-known artists whom I admired such as Mucha, Toulouse-Lautrec, Gauguin, Modigliani, Van Gogh, Picasso...etc, which allowed me to exercise while keeping a certain freedom. It was after many trips and the need to free myself that I wanted to start creating my own works. To do this, I dared to go into the abstract which for me seemed to be the most obvious way to express my emotions. I had the opportunity to discover the practice of the knife with, at the beginning, a certain apprehension, but it is since a real happiness to have adopted it. Self-taught artist, I draw my inspiration from the beauty of nature where I am amazed by my discoveries during my walks and travels. I always look for a light in my color associations that guides me in my creation and brings a certain depth to the canvas. They are abstract, semi-abstract, or even figurative, I always try to convey positive emotions that invite the viewer to daydream and serenity.
