Rudy Meyer

Within Rudy Meyer's work, freedom of expression in both Life and Art is the pursuit. His creative approach is adventurous, rebellious and free. 

He uses acrylic, spray paint and ink to create abstract backgrounds where he can express his freedom. Then, he will apply multiple layers of hand-pulled silkscreen printing above to deliver powerful and inspiring images.

The different mediums bring their own variables and visual connotations. His artworks are inspired by the icons who changed his life, but also by masterpieces, symbols, street and pop culture.

His colour palettes are dark and contemporary, connected to both the vibrant CMYK of commercial printing or inky black of the traditional printmaking.

The iconic characters are often hand printed multiple times as the multiple layers of the personalities in each individual, the failures and the successes, the dark and the bright sides.

His art is poetic. Each work is created through a process of destruction and re-shaping that follows an intuitive journey to create a darker and deeper approach of pop art.
