Patrice Serres is a French draftsman and sinologist born in 1946 in Paris. He was the pupil of Franck Robbins from 1964 to 1965.

Patrice Serres draws a lot of cartoons. He is well known by authors and works for numerous weekly magazines such as "Pilote", "Les Guepes", "Tintin" and then became director, editor in chief, deputy editor...In 2004, he did the official calendar of the Air Force for its 70th anniversary.
His second passion was science, which led him to illustrate numerous scientific magazines, as well as to cover major events such as "Boundary of Sciences" from 1983 to 2003. He also illustrated the book by Bernard Werber entitled "Ants" as well the "Bal des Abeilles" by professor Remy Chauvin.
"Patrice Serres is also a renowned sinologist. He is the author of the "Great Book of Chinese Proverbs" which came out in 1999. In 2001, he illustrated the book by Cyrille Javary, "Dans la Cité Pourpre Interdite".
