Biography
For more than 25 years, her drawings, paintings and volumes have been signed under the surname CarmenDolar, an anagram of two first names. He learns from him, from the state of vitality that inhabits him. He is in search of a continual breath, generating astonishment, the enjoyment of the created thing and above all the search for life through the themes of dance, sport, the couple.
It seems more and more obvious to him to show his approach, in the sense that the contemporary era, for which he can have very diverse feelings, leads him to refuse complexity, and therefore to formulate its essential; life through the vitality of the body.
And isn't his true culture that of being in phase with two facets of a mirror; poetry and instinct?
More than any other form of exploration, the human body gives CarmenDolar inspiration. He has always loved anatomy, a subject which taught him how to build a skeleton, to place the muscles on the bones and to qualify their shape. Only, outside of its culture the realistic figuration and that for a long time already; he wears himself out watching this ultra-realistic contemporary world, almost indecent to refuse poetry.
Make way for reconstruction, noting the body as a sum of gestures playing with straight lines, angles, tense and rounded curves, broken or continuous.
The translation of the body ultimately becomes an organization of lines, of values in a surface to create balance and to remake history little by little. He can then dream of life.
