Sophie Neury

Visual artist born in 1983 in Moulins sur Allier. His artistic approach focuses on recreating spaces, atmospheres. The practice of painting, in the same way as photography or installations are in the eyes of the artist linked by the same issues, the back and forth between these various forms of expression enrich each of them.

His recent work, however, seems to give an increasingly important place to painting, paying particular attention to the medium used and the color.

In 2012, the artist founded Atelier 17, a space dedicated to teaching plastic arts to audiences of all ages and all levels: from initiation to preparation for entrance exams to art schools.

She has recently been a professor of Applied Arts at the Lycée Jean-Monnet in Yzeure.
