Ivan Jiménez Brunel

Originally from Guadalajara in Mexico. The artist now lives in Montpellier. Ivan does not deny his heritage of the avant-gardes of the 20th century and in particular of the surrealists. The jagged and fragmented lines of a deconstructed room, the flattened relief that disrupts the flatness of a studio, the perspective effects, the sensations of spatialization and projection, the portraits and self-portraits, these face-to-faces where the quest resemblance is freed… Are so many archetypal images of his deep “me”.
