Biography
Valéry Vecu Quitard (1960) was born in Perpignan. He lives in the beautiful southern French village of Castelnou. At the age of seven he was already very good at drawing.
His teacher at school immediately recognized his great talents, which formed the basis for his later development as a beloved fine-art painter.
Vécu is a great international talent.
Vécu discovered the technique of the trompe-l'oeil witch fascinated him. He developed and managed to create the illusion of a non-existent space by painting very accurately.
Wooden dolls, musical instruments, old toys and other unusual subjects reveal his fascination for legends, myths, fables and symbolism. When you study his paintings, you can feel the patience and concentration with which he works.
