Presentation

Barry is a contemporary artist. Holder of a diploma in illustration and comics from the Émilie Cohl school. He soon alternates between professional commissions and personal research.

Coleopterium is the title of an entomological collection. It comprises several hundred insects and arthropods.

Above all, they are the animistic receptacle that gives a new existence to the residues of our society.

Trivial objects left behind, emotional witnesses of everyday life tucked away at the bottom of a drawer, they are stripped of their original function for a final metamorphosis.

Through a practice known as "upcycling", washed-up utensils and trinkets become the various anatomical components of a being in the making, one of those immobile creatures pinned among its fellow creatures, crystallized reflections of our consumerist abuses.
