Biography
Lili Chomat is a photographer, actress, poet. In his writing and performance work, the artist explores the link to freedom, to the sacred, to eroticism in a dreamlike and mischievous universe. Surrounded by her loved ones, her images come to crystallize the beauty of the magnetic moments of their world, in joy, pride, euphoria. With an obsession: to appropriate the flesh, to deliver it from the Judeo-Christian yoke which makes it guilty, to create new imaginations to make our desires and our existences fully alive. Celebrating this body that is ours only for a moment. With love, always.
Lili Chomat published her first collection "I often confuse you with death" in April 2023, on the occasion of the opening of the collective exhibition on lesbian representations at the Musée Médusées in Marseille. This collection brings together the poems of a first lesbian love. The quest for the absolute, death, sensuality, fragility, freedom are at the heart of the artist's romantic and poetic obsessions.
