Biography
I am Fannie Iribarnegaray, a self-taught painter based in Biarritz. Through my art, I seek to capture suspended moments, a pose, a fleeting gesture, a burst of timeless beauty that I freeze on the canvas. Each work is an invitation to contemplate a delicate balance between strength and vulnerability, mystery and sincerity.
The women I draw inhabit a space outside of time, free from any constraints, evolving in a dreamlike nature. They are not anchored in a specific era, but cross the ages with grace, letting everyone imagine their story, a before and an after.
My sensitivity to the aesthetics of the 1930s unconsciously influences my creations, infusing my works with a timeless elegance. What drives me is not the search for perfection, but that of a subtle harmony between colors, shapes, and the emotions they arouse.
Each painting is an atmosphere that is both soft and vibrant, where the balance between composition and color invites escape. My characters escape reality to inhabit a dreamlike world, free and infinite, where they have all the time to dream.
